Obituary: Jake Elegreet

Jake Elegreet, age 24 of Westminster, CO and formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 23, 2017 at home.

Jacob James Elegreet was born on June 11, 1992 in Beaver Dam, the son of Steven J. and Vicky (Mathews) Elegreet. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 2010 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served his country for four years as a Data Network Specialist, achieving the rank of E-4 Corporal. Jake enjoyed golfing, snowboarding, working out and eating spicy foods. He had a special bond with his sisters and treasured spending time with his little buddy, Hudson. He liked playing Blackjack, going to casinos and financial investing. Jake’s witty personality and great sense of humor will never be forgotten.

Jake will be dearly missed by his mother, Vicky Elegreet of Beaver Dam; sisters, Alyssa (Steven) Splan of Broomfield, CO and Brittany Elegreet (Jake Seiden) of Whitewater; nephews, Hudson and Turner of Broomfield, CO; and further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve, grandparents and other relatives.

A Memorial Gathering for Jake will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 11:00 a.m. until a Time of Remembrance at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone.
