On 02-02-17 at 2:05am, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle crash on Richard St near Maple St in the Village of Lomira, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Preliminary investigation showed that a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer was southbound on Richard St and left the roadway striking a snow bank causing the Trailblazer to strike a fence and overturn ejecting the operator from the vehicle.  The operator, a 25 year old Lomira man, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner.  Names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.  There were no other passengers in the vehicle. Speed and alcohol are believed to be contributing factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
