Obituary: Beryl P. Yasger

Beryl P. Yasger, age 89, of Beaver Dam, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Visitation for Beryl will be at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Ed Cody officiating.  Burial will be St. Michael’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Beryl Patricia was born on January 7, 1928 in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada to the late Cochrane and Claira (Lovey) Shankland.  After high school, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics and worked as a dietician.  On September 24, 1960, Beryl was united in marriage with Robert S. Yasger in Cudahy, Wisconsin.  In the past, she enjoy painting with both water colors and oils, putting together puzzles, and gardening.  Beryl was a sports fan and enjoyed watching the Packers and the Badgers.  Family was very important to her and she treasured the times together, especially with her grandson.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Yasger of Beaver Dam; two children, Trish Yasger of Sedalia, Missouri and Jim (Tracey) Yasger of Beaver Dam; a grandson, Andy Yasger of Beaver Dam; other relatives and friends.  Beryl was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Matthew James Yasger; and a sister, Margaret Ann “Peggy” Sylte.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trösten House in Beaver Dam
