Obituary: Eric H. Bolstad

Eric H. Bolstad, age 49 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Eric was born on January 24, 1968 in Beaver Dam, the son of Dennis Bolstad and Pauline Corning-Garvin. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1986. On January 31, 1987 he was united in marriage to Edith Callies in Beaver Dam. Eric worked as a carpenter throughout his life, working for A-1 Contractors and Projects Unlimited before starting his own business, Harrison Home Improvement. Eric served as an Alderman in Fox Lake for four years, enjoyed having an antique booth in Columbus for ten years and looked forward to the annual family camping trip at Dexter County Park in Wood County. He enjoyed several unique hobbies, including gardening, watching NASCAR and collecting glassware, clocks and comic books.

Eric is survived by his wife, Edith Bolstad of Beaver Dam; his daughters, Amber (Jeremiah) Brozek of Watertown and Brittney (Timothy) Schaller of West Salem; his grandchildren, Corey, Craig, Nadia and Derek; his mother, Pauline Corning-Garvin of Green Bay; his brother, Chris (Gina) Bolstad of Hurricane, UT; his half-sister, Marie (Joe) Herm of DePere; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents and other relatives.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A time of remembrance will be held at 6:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton, at a later date.
