Obituary: Anna Mae Whitrock

Anna Mae Whitrock, 77, formerly of Beaver Dam passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at her home in Watertown.

Anna Mae was born the daughter of John and Ruby (Potter) Wiersma on May 22, 1939.  She was a graduate of Cambria-Friesland High School.  Ann was united in marriage to Daryl Whitrock on March 26, 1971 and they were together for 35 years until his passing in 2006.  She was employed as a CNA at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau and later was involved in childcare.  She was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.  Ann was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who put others’ needs always before her own.

Ann is survived by her sons: Mark Whitrock of Watertown, Robert Whitrock of CO, and Randall (Staci) Whitrock of Waupun; her brother, Allen (Judy) Wiersma of CA; her sisters: Jane Williams and Lois Wiersmaboth of Manitowoc; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daryl; two children: Jeff Whitrock and Julie Degeler; and two brothers: Bill and Fred Wiersma.

A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon. The Chaplain Dennis Richards will officiate.  Interment will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, Township of Trenton.
