Obituary: Richard “Bill” William Thomas

Richard “Bill” William Thomas, age 84, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully May 8, 2017 surrounded by his family.

There will be a gathering at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. 

Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara (nee: Grams) Thomas; his children, Mark Thomas, Mike (Sherri) Thomas, Mona (Dale) Williams, and MitchThomas; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Ralph (Pat) Thomas, and George Thomas, both from Oklahoma; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, George Thomas and Carmen Smith; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Barbara.

Bill was a veteran of the US Air Force, retiring after twenty years of service in 1971.  He enjoyed walking, biking and golfing.  His greatest joys were his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to Bill’s caregivers over the last few years, and to Beaver Dam Hillside Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to be sent to Beaver Dam Hillside Hospice.
