Obituary: Dianne D. Wendorf

Dianne D. Wendorf, 71, of Burnett passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her home.

Dianne was born the daughter of Milton and Beatrice (Boetcher) Yerges on November 24, 1945.  She was a member of the second graduating class of Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills in 1963.  Dianne was married to Stanley R. Wendorf on January 9, 1965 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo, WI.  She was employed as an area real estate broker for over 20 years.  She was secretary/treasurer of the Dodge County Board of Realtors for several years, and in 1992, Dianne was named Realtor of the Year.

Dianne was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and previously of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Grove.  She was a member of the Dodge County Board of Realtors, the Wisconsin Realtors Association, and National Association of Realtors.  Through the years, Dianne taught Sunday School at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam and Frieden’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Randolph.  Dianne enjoyed sewing, canning, cross word puzzles and studying the Bible.  

Dianne is survived by her husband, Stanley of Burnett; her siblings: Beverly (Frank) Gehrke of Madison, Carol (Philip) Barnett of Seymour, TN, and Kenneth Yerges of Burnett; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and her beloved dog, Dee Dee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Wanda Faye on December 31, 1980; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl “Kelly” and Adeline Wendorf; her brothers: Robert and Edward Yerges; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and her great-nephew, Matthew Power.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 12:30 p.m.  The Rev. Collin VanderHoof will officiate.  Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.
