Parish Nurses attend 25th Annual Concordia Conference

Area Parish Nurses Ya-Fen Szczesny, RN, Carol Wehland, RN, Bob Gionet, RN and Diane Reul, LPN, Church Health Services (CHS) attended the 25th Annual Concordia Conference of Parish Nurse and Congregational Health Ministries at Concordia University in Mequon, WI. The Conference provided them with updates and important information for use with their Parish Nurse ministries. Through the many speakers coordinated by Dr. Carol Lueders Bolwerk , they were able to learn more about effective health ministry teams, and how to better address the specific health needs of their congregations.
Bob Gionet, RN, CHS Parish Nurse Coordinator shared, “This conference is a great way for our Parish Nurse Team to learn more about the many changing needs and aspects of Parish Nursing and allows us a great opportunity to network with members of the Clergy and other Parish Nurses to exchange ideas to better serve our congregations.”
“Ya-Fen, Carol, Diane and I will be able to share what we learned with other area Parish Nurses and our Clergy to continue to provide our congregation members with a positive combination of health and spiritual care.” concluded Bob.
