Obituary: Cheryl L. Moldenhauer

Cheryl L. Moldenhauer, 60, of Beaver Dam passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the UW Hospital Madison with her daughter holding her hand.

Cheryl Lynn was born on February 8, 1957 the daughter of Lawrence R. and Helen D. (Kempf) Voeltz in Fond du Lac, WI.  She was a 1974 graduate of Mayville High School.  On March 30, 2007, she was married to Richard Moldenhauer in Juneau.

Together with her husband Richard, they owned and operated Countryside Kennels.  Cheryl enjoyed collecting antiques.  She was a lover of animals and of music.  She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas.

Cheryl will be forever remembered and missed by her husband Richard “Dick” of Beaver Dam; her daughter Desirae (Steve) Bochte of Madison; step daughter Ashley Rose Moldenhauer of Horicon; her sisters: Jill (John Weinheimer) Voeltz of Madison, Lynn (Dave) Pett of Waupun and Suzie (Gary) Smith of Horicon; and her faithful companions Lakota and Yuria.  She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Amber Dawn Boydte and her close friend Daniel Franke.

In honoring Cheryl’s wishes, a private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Your spirit was weary and had to travel on 

We shall miss your smile, miss your face

But in our hearts you will always have a place.
