Donald H. Boettcher

Donald H. Boettcher, age 75, of Reeseville, died peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at the Reeseville Community Center on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Donald Steinberg will be officiating and burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Lowell.

Donald Harvey Boettcher was born on August 28, 1942 in Watertown, Wisconsin to Roland E. and Mildred E. (Lau) Boettcher. Reeseville was always his home and he was a 1960 graduate of Reeseville High School.  On November 21, 1964, Don was united in marriage with Karen R. Rahn at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Donny made his career at Brandt, Inc. / De La Rue in Watertown as a Computer Program Specialist. He retired in 2007 after 47 years of employment. Don was very active in the Reeseville community and had many friends throughout the area. He was a dedicated member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a member of the Reeseville Community Center Board. Donny also served as a past member of the Village of Reeseville Board, Reeseville-Lowell Lion’s Club, and the Reeseville Fire Department. He will be extremely missed by his family and friends, as well as the community of Reeseville.

Survivors include Donny’s sons, Craig Boettcher (Michele Schwanke) of Horicon, and Jason Boettcher of Eagle, ID; grandchildren, Shaina (Justin) Gaupp, Tyler Boettcher, and Brett Boetcher; sister, Susan Boettcher, of Beaver Dam; a very special great granddaughter, Taliya Renae; many special nieces and nephews; other relatives and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karen in 1991; a brother Kenneth, and a sister, Karen L. Boettcher.

If desired, memorials may be made in Donald H. Boettcher’s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
