Obituary: Virginia M. Crombie

Virginia M. Crombie, 98, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau.

A visitation for Virginia will be held at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.  A funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Father Michael Erwin officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Virginia was born on July 5, 1919 the daughter of Ira and Ida (Allen) McLyman in Randolph.  On February 25, 1943, she was married to Emmet “Pat” Crombie at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam.

Virginia was a lifelong resident of Beaver Dam.  She was the secretary at the School of Vocational and Adult Education and also worked in the Lakeside office of Weyenberg Shoe Company.  She and her husband owned and operated Lakeview Fabric Care Center for many years.  She was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Parish and a past member of the Christian Women of St. Patrick’s and the Daughters of Isabella.  Virginia loved to fish and enjoyed her home that her husband built on the lake.

Virginia will be deeply missed by her good friend Marge Nehring of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pat in 1992, brother Ken McLyman and good friend Marv Nehring.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Dodge County Humane Society.
