Kid Dy-no-mite! Nobel Bio

Here’s Alfred B. Nobel (“B” for Beaver) clutching a few sticks of dynamite while Nobel Prizes are being awarded, in Stockholm, on the 10th of December.
Nobel and his family earned enormous wealth manufacturing munitions.  He was a brilliant chemist and is famous for transforming nitroglycerin into dynamite.  Indeed, Tony Stark (alter ego: Iron Man) could be a modern-day incarnation of Nobel.

Here’s what a French newspaper said about Nobel when it reported (falsely) that he had died: “The merchant of death is dead . . . Dr. Alfred Nobel, who became rich by finding ways to kill more people faster than ever before, died yesterday.”

Perhaps it was after reading his premature obituary that Nobel decided to adjust his legacy by funding the Nobel Peace Prize . . .
