Obituary: Roger L. Schroeder, age 75

Roger L. Schroeder, age 75, of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Charleston House.

A private family service will be held and inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Roger Lee Schroeder was born on March 7, 1942 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Hubert and Leona (Miller) Schroeder. He married Cynthia Wirth on June 16, 1962 at First Ev. Lutheran Church, and they raised three children in the Beaver Dam area. Roger worked for over 30 years at Maysteel Industries in Allenton as a welder. Roger was an avid sports fan and was loyal to his Badgers and Packers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trying his luck with the Wisconsin Lottery. In his down time, he would often be found watching The History Channel. Rogers’s faith was first and foremost and he was a past member of Peace Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He was also a past member of the Eagle’s Club. 

Survivors are his children, Kerry (Shirley) Schroeder of Beaver Dam, Kim (Mike) Krueger of Randolph, and Kathy (Anthony) Barba of Fond du Lac; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Cynthia Schroeder on November 3, 2017; and his brothers and sister, Earl, Harvey, Eugene, Harland, and Dolly Sacht.
