Obituary: Dakota W. “Booger” Fadness, age 23

Dakota W. “Booger” Fadness, 23, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at his home.

Dakota was born on January 22, 1994 the son of Russell A. Johnson and Kietra M. (Fadness) Boerson in Fond du Lac.

Dakota had worked as a sous chef for Entrees By Chef Chanse.  He was an avid music fan; he loved many different genres from Johnny Cash to Rap.  He enjoyed playing the guitar and attending many concerts.  He loved BMX biking and skateboarding.  Dakota had a great love for animals. Most of all, he was a devoted and loving father to his daughter Marcy. Dakota was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.

Dakota is survived by his father Russell A. Johnson of Fox Lake; his mother Kietra M. (Jeremy T.) Boerson of Fox Lake; his daughter Marcy Funmaker and the mother of his daughter Alexis Funmaker both of Beaver Dam; grandparents Wayne and Peggy Johnson of Beaver Dam; aunts and uncles: Bill and Amanda Johnson of Mayville, Christie Steger of Beaver Dam and Tom and Gina Boerson of Eden,grandmother Ann Boerson of Waupun, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Karen Fadness.

A Celebration of Dakota’s life will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, BeaverDam with the Pastor Ted Medema officiating.  A visitation will be held prior from noon until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be directed to an Educational Fund that will be established for his daughter Marcy.
