Linked Lineages

Lost and Found  This part of my column is to help others give identity to a place or person in old photo's that they have found. We can then return the photograph back to it's family. If you have an old photo and need help with identity, you can send me your image and I will post it here to try to help you with it. To do this, or to identify someones photo, please contact me at debworks485@yahoo.com

The article below, was sent to my FaceBook page, Wisconsin Genealogy Vagabonds. We are always looking forward to receiving new ones! This one is very nicely done. The person who wrote it, did some research on the family. Sometimes you are lucky enough to have the photo marked. But we can sometimes learn who they are without it being labeled. Anyway, we all love seeing the pictures!  I hope you will go and check out the Wisconsin Genealogy  Vagabonds
and give it a "like". Here is the link:https://www.facebook.com/wisconsingenealogyvagabonds/
Thanks for sharing Shelley!

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Ella Amanda PACKARD FULLAM who was the wife of James Arthur FULLAM and Mother of James Phillip FULLAM. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Ella likely in her teens " 20's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Ella and her family:

Ella A. PACKARD was b. Jun 1869 in Wisconsin to parents James Knox PACKARD (1846-1933) and Florentine “Flora” Augusta DURRELL (1846-1933). Ella was one of 5 children born to this couple including, Ella; Mary C.; William Sylvester; Almond; and James C. PACKARD all born between 1869 and 1882. Ella married James Arthur FULLAM of FULLUM (1867-1961) and together they had 4 children including, Katherine or Catherine “Katie” Ellen; James Philip or Phillip; John William, and Thomas H. FULLAM or FULLUM, all born between 1889 and 1896. Ella died 14 Feb 1903 in Washington and is buried in the Buckley Cemetery in Buckley, WA. A daughter Catherine Eleanor “Kate” FULLAM WELLS is also buried in the same cemetery with her mother.

Ella’s daughter Catherine Ellen FULLAM was married to John Albert SEMMELHAACK (b. 1882 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to parents John SEMMELHAACK and Lucia SCOTT) on 17 Jul 1911 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. John was listed as divorced at the time and 29 years old. Ella’s youngest son Thomas FULLAM b. 1896 married on 21 Dec 1920 in Vancouver, BC, Canada to Alberta Edith HOOEY (b. 1901 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada to parents John James HOOEY and Evered BROOKS).

Census records provide the following details:

1880 census of Wood, WI:

James PACKARD, age 33, a Farmer, born ME, parents born ME
Dorella PACKARD, wife, age 32, Keeps House, born ME, parents born ME
Ella PACKARD, dau, age 10, at School, born WI
Mary PACKARD, dau, age 8, at School, born WI
William PACKARD, son, age 6, at Home, born WI
Almond PACKARD, son, age 1, at Home, born WI

1900 census of Buckley, WA:

James FULLUM, age 32, born Oct 1867, married 11 years, born WI, parents born Ireland, a Dairy Farmer
Ella FULLUM, wife, age 30, born Jun 1869, married 11 years, 4 children/4 living, born WI, parents born ME
Katie FULLUM, dau, age 10, born Dec 1889, born WA, at School
Philip FULLUM, son, age 8, born May 1892, born WA, at School
John FULLUM, son, age 6, born May 1894, born WA
Thomas FULLUM, son, age 3, born Jul 1896, born WA
Katie BAKER, sister, age 40, born Oct 1859, a widow, no children, born WI, parents born Ireland, a Housekeeper

I’m hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.

Thanks,
Shelley Thorpe Cardiel
Ella Amanda Packard Fullam
