Obituary: Merlin W. Rahn, age 69

Merlin W. Rahn, 69, of Wild Rose and formerly of Wautoma and Randolph passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Wild Rose Manor.

Merlin was born on January 16, 1949 the son of Walter and Mabel (Ludwig) Rahn in Beaver Dam. Most of Merlin’s career was spent working on the family farm near Randolph with his Father.  Merlin enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Merlin will be deeply missed by his sister Delores Bakken of Fort Atkinson; two nephews William Rahn and Daniel Rahn; five nieces Lori, Debra (Brian) Willie, Kristine (Richie) Roberts, Sheri (Dar) Mielke, and Jennifer Kendall; also other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mabel Rahn, his brother Marvin and two brothers-in-law.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell–Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam with a time of family sharing to begin at 1:00 p.m.  Inurnment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Township of Trenton at a later date.
