Action Packed Demolition Derby at Dodge County Fair

Two action-packed demolition derbies will take place on Sunday, August 20 at the Dodge County Fairgrounds.  Both the afternoon derby and the main event in the evening will entertain crowds for FREE with paid gate admission to the Fair.

Jerry Paulus, Owner of Action Auto Promotions, expects both events to be quite popular and well attended.  Between 75-125 cars, trucks and vans participated in previous events held in Beaver Dam.  He expects that this year’s event will include even more cars than the event held in 2016, as government funding for old vehicles deterred drivers from participating in 2016. Paulus expects demolition drivers to bring in many smaller cars and old trucks and vans to this year’s event.  Participants will travel from Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Green Lake and the Madison area.  Drivers from all over Wisconsin will crash-it-out and entertain animated crowds in the grandstand.  These dynamic events are perfect for families – the kids will want to get involved, while they “ooh and aah” over all of the non-stop action.

This year’s events are expected to run rain or shine.  The afternoon derby is scheduled from 1:00-4:00 pm in the grandstands and the qualifying main event will take place from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Beaver Dam is just one of nine derbies, being coordinated throughout Wisconsin officiated by Action Auto Promotions during the 2017 season.

Purse money is listed at approximately $4,500 this year and five classes will be showcased.
There is no pre-registration.  Registration will take place the day of the derby and drivers should arrive at least three hours ahead of show time for vehicle inspection.  The registration fee for the derby is $50.  Advance questions may be directed to Jerry Paulus at 608-576-7848.

Both derbies, the concert series, and all other grandstand entertainment are absolutely free with paid gate admission to the Dodge County Fair. Daily gate admission is $7 before 2:00 pm; or $10 after 2:00 pm.  Children (nine and under) receive free admission.  Season tickets are also available at a reduced rate.
