Celebrate today’s most inspiring Wisconsin artists at the Opening Party for winter exhibitions! Meet the artists and the Wisconsin Artists Biennial jurors, and enjoy light bites and live music by Frogwater.

About the Exhibition
Selective breeding, the process of controlling characteristics in plants and animals, has long been a part of farming. In Strange Breeds, printmaker S.V. Medaris explores the extremes of breeding in her depictions of the dogs, hogs, and chickens that live on her farm near Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. Medaris brings her love of animals to life through images that are amusing, surprising, and thought-provoking, successfully fulfilling her goal to “show the truly fascinating lives of the animals that surround us every day.”
