Beaver Dam Community Library Adds Streaming Music To Its Online Offerings

Beaver Dam Community Library, one of the 3,500 libraries worldwide that subscribe to the Freegal Music Service, is now offering patrons the ability to stream entire albums every day as part of the free online music offering.

The new initiative, part of Freegal 4.0, will allow patrons of the Beaver Dam Community Library increased access to over 6 million songs from 85 different countries.

Under the terms of the agreement, registered card holders of the library can download 3 Freegal Music tracks in the MP3 format each week, and stream 3 hours each day at no direct cost via www.cityofbeaverdam.com/library.   The library will underwrite the purchase of the music.   Also, the Freegal Music Service has over 15,000 popular music videos for download in the MP4 format.

3,500 libraries from all over the world subscribe to the Freegal Music Service, including the Orange County Public Library (FL), The Queens Public Library (NY) and The District of Columbia Public Library.

The Freegal Music Service has free mobile apps for registered cardholders of subscribing libraries.  The Freegal Music apps are available in the Apple® App Store and Google Play®.

28,000 music labels from around the world participate in the Freegal Music Service including the complete local catalogue of Sony Music Entertainment. To get your 3 free songs per week and 3 hours of daily streaming visit the library website, click on the Freegal link, enter your library card number that begins with 23019 and enter your PIN number.
