Fall Art Driving Tour
October 11 & 12 Fall Driving Art Tour.
The Beaver Dam Area Arts Association (BDAAA) is planning their Fourth Annual Driving Art Tour for the weekend of October 11-12th in four counties, including Dodge, Columbia, Fond du Lac and Green Lake Counties. The Driving Art Tour is a free self-guided tour of private artist studios and area businesses who are welcoming local and regional artists to display their artwork, offer artistic demonstrations and special sales. The Driving Art Tour is collaboration between Beaver Dam Area Arts Association, Waupun Fine Arts and Duck Creek Arts Guild in Cambria/Friesland area, with many artist members participating. The event is sponsored by Dodge Central: A Division of Landmark Credit Union where free all-in-one maps and descriptions of studios may be picked up now thru the Driving Art Tour. Free maps are available at the Seippel Arts Center and any Dodge Central/Landmark Credit Union locations in the region. New on the tour this year will be Northwoods Casket Company Art and Furniture Gallery in Beaver Dam, located at 109 Lincoln Ave. This new gallery is also home to Carriage House Works vintage inspired furniture and lighting, steampunk lamps, real milk paint and eco-friendly finished products. Gene’s Beaver Floral is showcasing the works of Madison artist Sheree Kehoe and Waupun Fine Arts is hosting an art teacher’s exhibit at the Waupun Public Library. Returning for the tour is Grand River Pottery of Markesan, painter Gerri Buteyn in Brandon, porcelain painter Mitzi Soldner in Beaver Dam, wood carver John McLeod of Cambria, and The New World Studio in Columbus. Painters Matt Chapman and Earl Ritter will be featured artists at Black Waters Coffee in Beaver Dam as well as Rod Hill at Cherry Berry, Betsy Lampert at McKinstry’s Home Furnishings and Tami DeLisle at Tess and Rose in Park Village Shopping Center. An additional downtown location at Change of Heart Ministry on Front Street will feature PAVE art work and Madison artist Sheree Kehoe. Marsh Haven Nature Center and the late Kay Kittell’s Art Studio in Waupun are also included. The current exhibit at the Seippel Arts Center, “Silent Conversations” by Terrill Knaack is also listed as one of the main locations during the Driving Art Tour.
