Prescription Drug Addiction and the Heroin Epidemic:

According to the Dodge County Medical Examiner, in 2013, 10 out of 985 deaths were drug-related. In the last 5 years, 48 people in Dodge County have died as a direct result of an overdose. The CDC shared that 1 in 20 people over the age of 12 have reported using prescription painkillers for nonmedical reasons.
Plan to attend an informative meeting where you will learn the signs and symptoms of addiction to prescription drugs and heroin use; the impact on individuals, their families and employer and local resources to help those battling with drug use and addiction. The MPTC Student SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) organization in conjunction with SHRM - Dodge County and law enforcement professionals, counselors and family members will present this informative and interactive presentation on prescription drug addiction and the growing heroin epidemic.
