Join athletes in Watertown on Sunday, April 24 for the “Share the Road” event which consists of both a run/bike/run duathlon and a 5k run/walk. There are four ways to participate in the event. You can compete by yourself, on a team of two (a runner performing the first and third legs and a cyclist performing the second leg), or on a team of three (each participant performing a leg). Participants may also choose to participate in the 5k run/walk. Events take place at the same time so participants should just register for one event.

The duathlon’s first segment is a 3-mile route through residential area of Watertown and Riverside Park. Then participants will transition to a 20-mile well marked route through the scenic countryside with rolling hills north of Watertown. The final segment will be a 2-mile run through Riverside Park and residential area of Watertown but with a different twist than the first segment. There will be aid stations in transition area and a sag wagon on the bike route. We would like this to be a family friendly event as well a competitive event!

The duathlon transition area will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 8:45 a.m. Start time for the duathlon and the 5k run and walk is 9:00 a.m., with duathlon participants leaving first.

Awards will be given to 5k overall male and female and duathlon overall male and female, along with top 3 in each age division for the duathlon. Each participant will receive a high visibility long sleeve tee shirt, custom finisher medal, a safe and well marked course and fun and music during and after the race.

Age groups for Duathlon Male & Female Finishers: 12- under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
