Frank S. Donaubauer, age 79 of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Columbus Community Hospital.

Frank was born on March 17, 1934 to Fritz and Aloisia (nee Hauer) Donaubauer in Gossingerreuth, Bavaria, Germany. He spent his childhood in Germany, graduating from high school before moving to the United States by himself in 1954. He was united in marriage to Betty Jane Schultz on February 9, 1957 at Church of Incarnation in Milwaukee. He worked for 34 years at Briggs and Stratton. Frank loved fishing, gardening and going to Ho-Chunk. He also enjoyed traveling, especially his two trips to Europe. Frank was a beloved, Christian husband and memories of him will be cherished by many.

Frank is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Donaubauer of Beaver Dam; his in-laws, Earl (Violet) Schultz of Columbus, Howard (Mary) Schultz of Beaver Dam, Eugene Schultz of Beaver Dam, Bonnie Parsley of Juneau, Randy (Michalene) Schultz of Reeseville, Dann Schultz of Beaver Dam, Steven Schultz of Lowell, John Schultz of Cottage Grove, Darlene (Bob) Weisensel of Reeseville and Dale (Linda) Arey of Madison; two sisters in Germany, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father and mother-in-law, Gerhard and Charlotte (nee Ivanec) Schultz; three brothers-in-law, Dale, Gordon and Richard and other relatives.

In honoring Frank’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
