Vaughn E. Meyer, 81, a resident of Prairie Gardens in Sun Prairie and formerly of Beaver Dam passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013 at her home.
Vaughn Evelyn was born the daughter of John and Emma (Spoehr) Ruppel on November 23, 1931 in Oshkosh, WI. She was a graduate of New London High School. Vaughn was married to Robert J. Meyer on June 20, 1951 in New London, WI.
Vaughn was a member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam for over 50 years. She was a bar tender at Helbings Supper Club in Beaver Dam. Vaughn also volunteered at the Bethesda County Fair for over 40 years.
Vaughn is survived by her eight children: Dean (Nancy) Meyer of Watertown, Dane (Ginger) Meyer of Streamwood, IL, Gail Riedasch of Sun Prairie, Gwyn Meyer of Beaver Dam, Ward (Anne) Meyer of Windsor, WI, Cole (Pat) Meyer of Portage, Benjamin (Emily) Meyer of Plover, and Megan (Kevin) Mindham of Sun Prairie; her sister, Joyce Moss of Madison; her sister-in-law, Rosemary Ruppel of Oshkosh; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, her grandsons, Seth and Peter, her son-in-law, Gary Kirchoff, and her five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Koepsell Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Rd., Beaver Dam with the Rev. Collin Vander Hoof officiating. A visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until Noon at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Leipsig Cemetery, Township of Beaver Dam, WI.
