Annelore “Ann” M. Rohde, age 83, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Waupun Memorial Hospital.
Ann was born on March 1, 1931 in Germany, the daughter of Bruno and Martha (nee Henkel) Fuhrer. She was united in marriage on August 16, 1950 to Kenneth Rohde in Germany. Ann loved her family dearly and treasured every opportunity she had to help take care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, especially to polka and country music, watching old television shows, reading mysteries and listening to NASCAR on the radio.
Ann is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Beaver Dam; her children, Georg (Darlene) Fuhrer of Beaver Dam, Liane Vander Hei of Oxford, WI, Marianne (Bill) Hollister of Michigan, Jo Vossekuil of Waupun and James (Lori) Rohde of Beaver Dam; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Henry Portzen; two brothers; a grandson; a great-granddaughter and other relatives.
A Memorial Gathering for Annelore will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd. in Beaver Dam. Burial will follow the service at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton with a luncheon back at Cornerstone.
