Obituary: Irene R. Seibel

Irene R. Seibel, age 84 of Fond du Lac and formerly of Oakfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Grancare Nursing and Rehab Center in Fond du Lac.

Irene was born on September 6, 1929 in the Town of Trenton to Fred and Clara (nee Schaumburg) Michael. She was united in marriage to Raymond W. Seibel on August 20, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun, where she was a member. Irene worked at National Rivet in Waupun, as well as seasonally at the Oakfield Canning Factory. She enjoyed traveling in her earlier years, going for drives around town and watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. 

Irene is survived by her brothers, Gerald (Betty) Michael of Beaver Dam and Dennis (Betty) Michael of Burnett; her sisters-in-law, Lynne Michael, Jean Seibel, Marion (Ralph) Oliver and Millie Eichstedt; her brother-in-law, Oscar (Patti) Seibel, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, her brothers, Elliot and Earl, her sister, Jane Zangl and two brothers-in-law, Roman Zangl and Carlton Seibel.

A Funeral Service for Irene will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 525 W. Main St., Waupun with Rev. Elizabeth Lee officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at church, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Irene will be laid to rest at Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.
