Frederick Graham Yarwood, age 95 of Columbus, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at home.
Frederick was born on February 12, 1919 in Dubuque, IA, the son of Frederick Graham and Leta Lily (nee Graham) Yarwood. He was united in marriage to Grace Faye Howard on October 1, 1946 in Pennsylvania. A World War II veteran, Frederick proudly served in the United States Army before owning and operating Columbus Milk and Ice Cream.
Frederick is survived by his children, Donald (Janice) Yarwood of Tucson, AZ, Linda Wenzel of Westfield, MA, Richard Edward (Cherry) Yarwood of Beaver Dam and Mary Ellen Yarwood of Columbus; his grandchildren, Dean Yarwood, Joyce Yarwood, Anne Landry, Laurie Marten, Arwyn Yarwood-Hoeppner, Talyn Yarwood and Cirdan Yarwood; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son, Edward; 3 sisters; a brother; granddaughter, Christine and other relatives.
In honoring Frederick’s wishes, private family services will be held.
