Joan C. Miller, age 76, of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, May 23, 2014 at UW Hospital in Madison.
The memorial gathering will be on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Rd. in Beaver Dam from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. The memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:00 PM. Inurnment will be at St. Michaels’ Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Joan Carol Miller was born on June 24, 1937 in Ripon, Wisconsin to Arthur and Margaret (Ryan) Searvogel. She was united in marriage with Harley Miller and they made their home in Beaver Dam. Joan worked at Golden Living in Beaver Dam for many years as a CNA and retired in 2012. Joan enjoyed reading and sewing during her free time. She also enjoyed taking drives, sightseeing around Wisconsin.
Joan is survived by her son, Neil Miller of Beaver Dam; brothers and sisters, Mabel Hafenstein of Fox Lake, James (Beverly) Searvogel of Sheridan, AR, Jean (Wayne) Bahr of Fall River, Barbara (James) Harrigan of Beaver Dam and Robert (Scharleen) Searvogel of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant son; a son, John; and her sister, Isabelle Neuman.
