Obituary: Enrique M. Jimenez

Enrique M. Jimenez, age 74, died Monday, July 7, 2014 at his home in Beaver Dam surrounded by his family.

There will be a memorial gathering at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road in Beaver Dam on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  A memorial service will follow at the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 PM.  Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.

Enrique was born on April 29, 1940 in Merrill, Michigan to the late Trinidad and Delfina (Melendrez) Jimenez.  On April 6, 1968, he was united in marriage with Rosalinda Alvarez in Piedras Negras, Mexico.  Enrique worked for Commonwealth Edison for 15 years constructing the nuclear power plant near Zion, Illinois until he developed cancer and was forced to retire.  In 1991, he moved his family to Beaver Dam.  Family was the most important thing to Enrique.  He was known for making sure everyone always had enough to eat and that there was bubble gum for the grandkids.  Enrique liked music and often had it playing at his home; he also enjoyed fishing, gardening and dancing.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalinda Jimenez of Beaver Dam; eleven children, Patricia Moreno (Jeffrey Beauprey) of Burnett, Leticia (Agustin) Castillo, Elda Jimenez (Daniel Vargas), Corinna (Joseph) Bryant, Henry (Natalie) Jimenez, and James (Desirae) Jimenez all of Beaver Dam, Michael Jimenez of Madison, Veronica (Miguel) Hernandez of North Carolina, Sylvia (Reynaldo) Mojica and Enrique (Irma) Jimenez, Jr. both of Uvalde, TX, and Enrique Rios of Crystal City, TX; five sisters and brothers, Rafeala (Guadalupe) Munoz, and Jose (Guadalupe) Jimenez both of Crystal City, TX, Rosa (Estevan) Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, Johnny Jimenez and Raul Jimenez, both of Crystal City, TX; former son-in-laws, Jesse Martinez and Armando Moreno; 27 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  Enrique was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Angelica Martinez.
