Church Health Services (CHS) and Beaver Dam Area Arts Association (BDAAA) have recently announced the lead couple for the upcoming joint fundraiser “Evening in Rome,” set for Saturday, August 9th. “An Evening in Rome” Honorary Chairs are Tom and Sandy Heiar of Beaver Dam. The couple is well known in the business community as owners of Heiar Insurance and Estate Planning and Heiar Custom Fence.  The Heiars will be welcoming guests to “An Evening in Rome” and will be encouraging attendance to this exciting fundraiser to benefit two worthwhile nonprofits in our region. The event is the second annual themed fundraiser, following the tremendous success of last year’s “An Evening in Paris.”

“An Evening in Rome” will be held at Chapel of the Archangels at 839 Madison Street.  Everything Italian-themed will be included in this interactive experience for guests from 6 pm-midnight. According to Susan Osteen, CHS Executive Director, “The planning committee has been working diligently to recreate many historical eras of Rome, a countryside vineyard,  replicas of famous Italian architecture, music, and of course, great Italian food and fare that will make this entire event an evening to remember. We have been incredibly blessed by the support our community gives to help reach our goals as CHS continues to provide health and dental clinics for the poor and uninsured.”

Karla Jensen, Executive Director of the Beaver Dam Area Arts, added, “BDAAA is thrilled to be a part of the event this year as a full partner, raising funds to benefit the region for youth arts programs, arts education, scholarships for camps and classes, and exhibits. The creativity BDAAA brings to an event like this with artists and musicians from our songwriters group is an outstanding way to showcase the areas talent and help two great causes. We are also grateful to the Heiars for supporting nonprofits with such enthusiasm and a generous spirit.”

Event tickets will be on sale at Rechek’s Food Pride, Piggly Wiggly, CHS, The Seippel Arts Center and online at www.churchclinic.org at the beginning of July. Tickets are $40 per person or $70 per couple. This includes a roaming buffet, 2 complimentary beverages, music, entertainment, and many interactive booths that will showcase Roman history, Italian fun and fare.
