Obituary: Charles A. Krause

Charles A. Krause, age 86 of Markesan, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at his home.

Charles was born on October 18, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI to Otto and Dorathy Krause. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Weber – Schoenbacher on June 15, 1959 in Princeton, WI. He enjoyed the numerous years he spent working at Del Monte Foods in Markesan. He was a member of Markesan American Legion Post 282, and in his free time he enjoyed playing games on the computer.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Jean (Donald) Manthey of Columbus; his daughter-in-law, Shelby Weber of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Mark (Jeananne) Manthey of Hartland, Denise (Thomas) Daley of Columbus, Steven (Denise) Manthey of Columbus, Judy (David) Dillon of Dixon, IL, Michael Weber of Washington, DC and Brian Weber of Florida; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Eugene (Barbara) Joiner of Hartford; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister and his step-son, Robert Weber.

A Graveside Service for Charles will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Markesan Memorial Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be provided by the Markesan American Legion Post 282.
