Obituary: David G. Miller

David G. Miller, 78, Cambria, WI passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

A visitation for David will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Salemville.  A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Frank Rose officiating.  Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.

David Gordon was born the son of William D. and May (Gustrowsky) Miller on September 1, 1935 in Cambria.  He was a graduate of Cambria High School.  On May 3, 1958, he was married to Marian Grimm at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon.

David was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Salemville.  He had been employed at Kraft Foods for over 30 years.  He enjoyed vacationing at the cottage up North, where he enjoyed hunting and snowmobiling.  David also enjoyed managing the woods on his property in Cambria.  He was a passionate hunter, hunting pheasant, deer and grouse with his faithful hunting partners Spike and Jerry.

David is survived by his wife Marian; his daughter: Dr. Lori (Alan) Haun, his son Neil Miller and grandson Trenton Miller all of Cambria; his sisters: Florence Schmitt of Sun Prairie and Doris (Leonard) Cupery of Cambria; his brothers: Ken (Jackie) Miller and Dan (Shirley) Miller both of Cambria.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Al Miller and his sister Ruth Mohr.

Memorial donations in David’s name may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cambria.
