Obituary: Arden “Bud” Fritz

Arden “Bud” Fritz, 90, of 104 Fakes Court, Beaver Dam passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the U.W. Hospital in Madison.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Rd, Beaver Dam from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The Beaver Dam American Legion Post #146 to pay their respects at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Military Honors by the American Legion Post #146 will follow at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be held on Saturday, September 6th at 10:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Arden was born the son of Louis and Cora (Danielson) Fritz on March 4, 1924 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Black River Falls High School. He was employed in heating and air conditioning until his retirement. Bud proudly served our country in the United States Army during WWII from 1943-1945, where he received a Purple Heart and the Combat Infantry Medal. He then served in the United States Air Force from 1947 – 1952. Bud was a member of the Beaver Dam American Legion Post # 146, the D.A.V., and the V.F.W Post # 1163.

Arden is survived by his daughter: Barbara (Ron) Suiter of Bedford, TX, and his son Arden (Judy) Fritz of St. Paul, MN; his grandson Eric (Sheryl) Warner; and his great grandchildren: Stephen and Kyle. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Arden is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Cora Fritz.
