Obituary: Harold Dobrowa

Harold Dobrowa, age 91, of Reeseville, died on Monday, October 27, 2014 at Marquardt Health Center in Watertown.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Harold was born on May 14, 1923 in Lansing, Michigan to Edward and Katherine (Chrusczyk) Dobrowa. He graduated from Lansing Central High School and continued his education at Michigan State University. Harold served in the United States Army during WWII. On June 14, 1947, he was united in marriage with Elfrieda “Ellie” Bothe. Harold enjoyed Big Band music, reading history books, and photography. Harold was a member of Senior Companion Service and St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Survivors are his sons, Alan Dobrowa of Reeseville and Dennis (Holly) Dobrowa of Cedar, MI; grandchildren, Angela Brandt, Jake (Sarah) Tisdale and Derek Dobrowa; great granddaughter, Isabella Brandt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Annella Czubak; and brother, John Dobush.
