New York Times best-selling author Michael Perry speaking in Beaver Dam

Wisconsin author and humorist Michael Perry will speak at 7 p.m. on Friday, November 14 in Wayland Academy’s Kimberly Chapel, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.  The free, all-ages event is sponsored by the Beaver Dam Community Library, Wayland Academy and the Beaver Dam Arts Association and is the highlight of Beaver Dam’s first Community Read Program.  Perry will sign copies of his new young adult novel, “The Scavengers” after his talk.

Perry’s nonfiction describes small communities, parenthood and the life of a writer.  He is the author of “Population 485,” “Truck,” and “Coop,” among other titles.  More information about the author can be found on sneezingcow.com.

All are invited to participate in the Community Read events leading up to Perry’s visit, including a discussion of Perry’s 2012 book “Visiting Tom” on Wednesday, November 5 at 6 p.m. and Thursday, November 6 at 10 a.m. at the Beaver Dam Community Library.
