Obituary: Doris Louise (Neuendorf) Maas

Doris Louise (Neuendorf) Maas formerly of 805 De Clark Street, Beaver Dam and a resident of the Waupun Christian Homestead, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014.

Funeral Services for Doris will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Chaplain Dennis Richards officiating.  A visitation will also be held on Tuesday, Dec.9th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in the township of Trenton, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Maas was born on August 15, 1925 to William and Selma (Mietzel) Neuendorf in Juneau, Wisconsin.

She was married to Raymond Maas on July 21, 1945 at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.

In her early years, she worked for a time at the stocking factory in Beaver Dam and later went to work at the J. C. Penney store in Beaver Dam as a sales clerk.  The majority of Doris’ life was spent caring for her home and family. She enjoyed raising her son, grandchildren and many other neighborhood children.  She loved to garden and enjoyed walking many miles. 

Survivors include her son Dale (Mary) Maas of Fox Lake, two grandsons: Nicholas (Becky) Maas of Burnett and Zachary Maas of St. Cloud, MN, and two great-grandchildren: Natalie Lynn Maas & Hunter Raymond Maas of Burnett.  Other survivors are her sister Etta Soldner of Lowell, and her brother Ronald Neuendorf of West Bend, also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond in 2001, two brothers: Martin and William Jr., and four sisters: Marie, Vera, Maybelle “Min” and Betty Jean.
