Obituary: Ruth M. Loew

Ruth M. Loew, 100, resident of the Golden Living Nursing Home, Beaver Dam and formerly of Milwaukee passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2014.

Ruth was born on January 21, 1914 the daughter of Emil and Alma (Klawitter) Baker in Fremont, Wisconsin.  She was a 1932 graduate of Wild Rose High School and studied music for several years.  On June 25, 1938, she was married to Willard Loew in Milwaukee.

Ruth and her husband Willard owned and operated five restaurants in the Milwaukee area.  They moved to Beaver Dam in 1977.  She was a past member of the Amazing Grace Church in Horicon.  Ruth loved music and playing the piano at churches and schools.

Ruth is survived by her sister-in-law: Vivian Baker of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willard in 1996, daughters: Janet Zeman and Judith Beck; her son Larry; sisters: Irene Roder, Ellen Baker and Gertrude Wuethrich and brothers: Harvey Baker and Kenneth Baker.

Funeral Service for Ruth will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin with Rev. Larry Seidl officiating.  Visitation will also be held on Tuesday, Dec. 23rd from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. at the chapel.  Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Ruth’s family is most grateful for the kind and compassionate care she received over the years from the wonderful staff at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Beaver Dam.  Your kindness will always be remembered.
