Michael “Mike” Ferstl, age 67 of Beaver Dam, took a hold of the Lord God’s outreached hand and left us on Sunday morning, January 18, 2015.

Mike was born on April 20, 1947 in Beaver Dam, the son of Clarence and Eleanor (Neiman) Ferstl. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1966. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1967-69. During that time, he worked in motor pool transport and was stationed in Germany and Valley Forge. Mike worked as a painter at MetalFab in Beaver Dam and Mayville Metal Products.

Mike was a believer in St. Jude, a symbol of hope and impossible causes. He always had a nice thing to say about everyone. Mike was a big Packers fan and an avid Jeff Gordon and NASCAR supporter. He especially enjoyed fast cars in his younger years. In his free time, he also liked going bullhead fishing.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Maria (Hilmer, Jr.) Krause, Terry “Butch” (Sandy) Ferstl, Patti (Tom) Wapneski, Jerry Ferstl, Cindy Kleckner and Paul (Karen) Ferstl, all of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his great-nephew, Austin Steger and other relatives.
