Obituary: Lawrence “Larry” L. Hoefs

Lawrence “Larry” L. Hoefs, 63, of Beaver Dam was born on December 7, 1951 and left his home on Earth to meet his parents William and Borghild Hoefs in their Heavenly home.

Larry was a 1970 graduate of Beaver Dam High School.  Throughout his life he worked as a printer at Hoefs Printing and Office Supply.  He had also worked at Kraft Foods, Badger Cold Storage and other companies in maintenance in the Beaver Dam area.  He also had his own business fixing cars and building race cars. 

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He was a former member of the Randolph Fire Department and had been an EMT. 

He enjoyed NASCAR racing and watching the Green Bay Packers.   Larry’s passion was stock car racing and he raced at various local tracks.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Kari Hoefs (Thomas) Dinegan of Windsor, WI and two cousins: Robert (Debra) Hoefs of Lincoln, IL and Nancy (Brenden) Connelly of Madison, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. Hoefs Jr. and Borghild (Sorenson) Hoefs and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Services for Larry are being planned and will be held in Spring.
