Obituary: Phyllis M. Schulz

Phyllis M. Schulz, age 82 of Markesan, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Markesan Resident Home.

Phyllis was born on December 6, 1932 in Dalton, WI, the daughter of Lester and Gertrude (Dykstra) Bradley. She graduated from Pardeeville High School. Phyllis was united in marriage to Willis Schulz on September 22, 1956 at North Shore Baptist Church in Pardeeville. They farmed together for many years, and she also worked seasonally at Del Monte for over 15 years. She attended Terrace Shores Church and was a member of the Women’s Farm Bureau for over 50 years. She enjoyed cooking, judging at the Green Lake County Fair, going for car rides and being outside with the animals on the farm. Phyllis will always be remembered for taking pictures of others and gifting them later with the photographs.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Lynette (James) Lieske of Ripon, Larry (Karen Reynolds) Schulz, Howard (Cynthia) Schulz and Randy (Judy) Schulz, all of Markesan; grandchildren, Patrick, Michelle and Ashley; brothers, Dave (Lois) Bradley of Pardeeville and Chet Bradley of Sun Prairie; sister-in-law, Marilyn Bradley of Pardeeville and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willis in 2006, her brother, Cliff and other relatives.

A Funeral Service for Phyllis will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11 am at Terrace Shores Church, W3278 Cty Rd K, Markesan with Rev. Gary Zacharias officiating. Burial will take place at Markesan Memorial Cemetery and a luncheon will follow back at church.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 4-7 pm at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan and also on Tuesday prior to the service at church, beginning at 10 am.

Memorials in Phyllis’ name may be directed to Terrace Shores Church.
