Obituary: Dolores Wachter

Dolores Wachter, age 54, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Visitation for Dolores will be at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 North Crystal Lake Road in Beaver Dam, on Monday, February 9, 2015 from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 5:00 p.m.  John R. Leiting will be the celebrant.  Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

Dolores was born on August 8, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Anthony and Clara (Lorkiewicz) Kurowski.  On July 5, 1986, she was united in marriage with Thomas Wachter in Horicon.  Together they owned and operated the Best Way Driving School in Beaver Dam.  Tom preceded Dolores in death in 2005.  Dolores loved animals and had a difficult time saying no when she was approached about rescuing a cat.  She also enjoyed bird watching and gardening.  Dolores was a member of Wisconsin Professional Driving School Association. 

Survivors include her children, Christina Rose (David Ward), Michael (Laura) Rose, Heather Wachter (Cozy McNeal), Danielle Wachter; four grandchildren, Emily and Brendan Wachter, Ethan Woodman, and Jaxon McNeal; a brother and three sisters, Annette Rosentreter, Karen (Kelly) O’Brien, Anthony (Deborah) Kurowski, and Theresa Kurowski; other relatives and friends.  Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Christopher; and a grandson, Landen.
