Obituary: LeRoy Hahn

LeRoy Hahn, 93 of Buckeye, Arizona, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 7, 2015.  Mr. Hahn was born June 11, 1921, in Reeseville, Wisconsin.  He served in WWII with an artillery battalion in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1946.  His unit landed on Omaha Beach during the Normandy Invasion and he also engaged in the Battle of the Bulge and Rhineland Campaigns.  LeRoy moved to Arizona in 1953, and worked as a dairy manager in Palo Verde until his retirement.  He was a member of the American Legion, a charter member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and the Buckeye Senior Center.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Hahn.  He is survived by one daughter, Melanie Hunsaker of Abilene, Texas; two sons, David Hahn of Buckeye and Daryl Hahn of Buckeye; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  A viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 11th at Ganley’s Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 E. Baseline Road in Buckeye. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 12th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 10 N. Apache Road in Buckeye.  Interment will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 14th at the Lowell Cemetery in Lowell, Wisconsin.
