June M. Weatherwax, age 75, of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Charleston House in Beaver Dam.
The visitation will be at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the church on Monday at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Janice Diefenthaler officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
The former June Myrtle Helwig was born on June 24, 1939 in Madison, Wisconsin to William and Doretta (Mellor) Helwig. June was a graduate of Columbus High School and on June 27, 1959, she was united in marriage with Donald E. Weatherwax at Zion Lutheran Church in Columbus. June enjoyed fishing, sewing and crafting of all sorts. She loved to go camping and her greatest joy was spending time with her family and many friends.
Survivors are her children, Dale (Francine) of Cambria, Richard (Lynn) of Rio, James (Jana) of Columbus, and Janet Kruger of Beaver Dam; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Howard (Rosanne) Helwig of Manchester, NH, Joy Mick of Sun Prairie, Dennis (Janet) Helwig of Verona, Peggy (Michael) Slade of Horicon, and Dean (Mary) Helwig of Marshall; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Harold Helwig; great grandson, Cody Baker; and her beloved dog, Penny.
The family would like to thank Care Wisconsin, Hillside Hospice, and the Charleston House for all of their exceptional care over the years.
