Obituary: Lloyd G. Kaul

Lloyd G. Kaul, 88 years old, a resident of Arcadia Senior Living in Beaver Dam, WI passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at First Ev. Lutheran Church, 311 W. Mackie St., Beaver Dam at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Mark Jensen and Rev. Terry Larson officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 6th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in the township of Trenton, with graveside military rites being conducted by the Beaver Dam American Legion Post #146.

Lloyd was born on September 18, 1926 to Lloyd S. and Alice M. (Diefenbach) Kaul in the township of Westford. He was united in marriage to Marian L. Ferries on April 10, 1948 at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Lloyd was employed at Monarch Range Company and Green Giant Canning Factory.

Lloyd was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, as well as an excellent cook. Lloyd enjoyed watching sports, and NASCAR. Lloyd enjoyed visiting and spending time with his grandchildren.  

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII with duty in the South Pacific from 1944 – 1946. Lloyd served with the 754th Tank Battalion in Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations.

Lloyd is survived by his son Robert (Kathleen) Kaul of Madison; 4 grandchildren Dierdre Disch of Madison, Erin Disch of Madison, Brooke (Nicholas) Duckart of Portland, OR, and Logan Kaul of Madison; his brother Harold (Sandra) Kaul of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marian, his sisters Lorraine Erdman, Evelyn Kasper, and Doloris in infancy and his brothers James and Frank.
