Obituary: Duane Alan Arndt

Duane Alan Arndt, age 81 of Randolph, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

Duane was born on November 26, 1933 in the township of Mackford, Green Lake County, the son of Harold and Thelma (Weckworth) Arndt. He attended Randolph High School. On May 12, 1956, he was united in marriage to Katherine Schlee at First Presbyterian Church in Fox Lake. Duane worked at National Rivet until his retirement and was a member of IAM #1516. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fox Lake, where he served as an Elder and sang in the choir for many years.

Duane is survived by his wife Katherine; his children, Brian W. Arndt, Debra (Richard) Desjarlais and Daniel J. Arndt; his grandchildren, Frances, Monica and Justin Arndt, Dawn and Amber Desjarlais; his great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Weston and Jordan, along with nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Adeline Arndt and nephew, David Arndt.

A funeral service for Duane will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 181 S. Main St., Markesan with Rev. Paul Hudson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Fox Lake. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Cornerstone, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
