150 Years ago this week – Abraham Lincoln was assassinated while attending the play Our American Cousin at Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C.  Only five days prior – General Robert E. Lee surrendered to Lt. General Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox, Virginia – effectively ending the civil war.
