Obituary: Edward R. Flouro

Edward R. Flouro, 76, of Beaver Dam and formerly of Crivitz, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.

Edward Robert was born on September 12, 1939 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin the son of Edward L. and Genève (Bennett) Flouro.  On September 9, 1980, he was united in marriage to Marsha Gillette in Rockford, IL.

Edward proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp.  He had been employed as an independent over the road trucker for many years.  Ed loved to take his children on the road with him on some of his trips.  He loved to listen to country music and polka.  He enjoyed playing the guitar and doing crossword puzzles.  Mostly, Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Edward is survived by his children: Patrick Flouro of Fox Lake, William Flouro of Mobile, AL, Connie Flouro of Beaver Dam and Mark Flouro of Juneau; his six grandchildren: Cassandra Flouro, Nicholas Flouro, Michelle Luey, Rob Flouro, George Flouro and Maggie Flouro; two sisters: Jeanette (Melvin) Hanson of Bark River, MI, Christine (Paul) Ponath of Sun Prairie, Phillip (Di) Flouro of Menomonee, WI, Kenneth (Barb) Flouro of Ladysmith and John (Jayne) Flouro of Horicon; he is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marsha, brothers: Richard Flouro and Dennis Flouro, his granddaughter Skylynn Kirchoff.

A Celebration of Life for Edward is being planned and will take place at a later date.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Golden Living Center and Generations Hospice for their compassionate care for Edward.
