Obituary: Sharon A. Rahn

Sharon A. Rahn, age 71, of Juneau, died on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison with her family at her side.

The visitation will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Friday at 12:00 noon with Fr. Mike Petrie officiating. Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.

Sharon Ann Metzger was born on November 21, 1943 in Watertown, Wisconsin to Alice Metzger. She was a 1961 graduate of Juneau High School. On June 9, 1962, she was united in marriage with Harold Rahn at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clyman. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was a past member of the Christian Mothers, and would help with the Friday Fish Fry’s and Funeral Luncheons. Sharon loved every holiday and would decorate the house inside and out.  Each holiday consisted of festive tops, socks, earrings, and cut out cookies. Sharon also enjoyed her flower gardens, watching her birds, and the Milwaukee Brewers. Sharon enjoyed visiting with family and friends, but she mostly loved her time with all of her grandsons. She supported them at all of their events and enjoyed watching them grow over the years.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Harold of Juneau; children, Monica (Hal) Schulz of Oshkosh, Brian Rahn (Sara Riha) of Waunakee, and Chad (Laura) Rahn of Waukesha; grandchildren, Austin (Rachel) Schulz of Whitefish Bay, Brennen (Paige) Schulz of Minneapolis, MN, Carson Schulz of Oshkosh, Spencer and Cody Rahn, Ryan and Amy Riha, of Waunakee, and Noah Rahn of Waukesha; great grandson, Elijah Schulz; sister, Mary Claire (Jim) Hutchens of Waukesha; and Goddaughters, Kelsey and Aubrey Hutchens of Minneapolis, MN; special cousin and her green thumb, Teri Dexheimer; in-laws, Joyce Schliewe, Donna Farrow, Larry Rahn, Nathalie Schumann, Bonnie (Donald) Gibson, Kevin (Sue) Rahn, Ross Rahn, and Ray Rahn; step-sister, Beverly Schwantes; aunt, Rita (Dick) Greinert; special friends, Cookie Lentz, Carol Schulte, Cheryl Jacobson, and Karen Schoenwetter; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her step-dad and mother, Roy and Alice Kreitzman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold “Tuffy” and Marie Rahn; as well as many other relatives.
