Obituary: William “Bill” M. Malak

William “Bill” M. Malak, 59, of Fort Atkinson and formerly of Beaver Dam passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at the U.W. Hospital in Madison.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery with Father Michael Erwin officiating.  Inurnment will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the town of Beaver Dam.

William Michael was born the son of Norbert and Edith (Boyd) Malak on June 21, 1955 in Beaver Dam.  He was a 1973 graduate of Beaver Dam High School.  He had been employed for over 20 years as the Assistant Manager for the South Towne Shopko Department Store. Most recently, he was employed with Generac of Fort Atkinson.  Bill enjoyed the Packers, Brewers and auto racing.

Bill is survived by his father, Norbert (Jeanne) Malak of Beaver Dam; his girlfriend Cindy Aurit; his brothers: Mark Malak of Austin, TX and Christopher Malak of Beaver Dam; nephew Joel (Jenny) Malak of Oregon, WI two nieces: Jill (Jim) Bakken of Salem, Oregon and Janelle Malak of Los Angeles, CA; step sister Becky (Dan) Wheeler of Beaver Dam and step brother Paul (Josie) Hartel of Waupun; step niece Danielle (Shawn) Morrissey and Jacqui Wheeler and his former wife Cathy Crary of Deerfield.  He is further survived by great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Edith in 1995, his brother Russell and step sister Pam Hartel.
