Obituary: Donna L. Yerges

Donna L. Yerges, age 67, of Waterloo, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

The visitation will be at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 413 E. Madison St. in Waterloo on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  There will also be a visitation at the church on Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:50 a.m.  The funeral service will be at the church on Saturday at ll:00 a.m. with Rev. James Adomeit officiating.  Burial will be at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

The former Donna Lee Weihert was born on December 9, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Donald “Red” and Eunice (Madsen) Weihert.  On October 8, 1966, she was united in marriage with Fred Yerges at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Waterloo.  Donna drove school bus in Waterloo for WeeKare for many years.  She also cleaned many establishments in Waterloo.  Donna was an avid bowler and enjoyed family time, especially with her grandkids.  She will be greatly missed by her family and will be in our hearts forever.  We love you mom and grandma.

Survivors include her husband, Fred of Waterloo; children, Brenda (Jerald) Schaalma of Juneau, John (Angela) Yerges of Jefferson, Helen (James) Aubart of Waterloo, and Terri (David) Kohls of Waterloo; mother, Eunice Weihert of Waterloo; siblings, Patricia (James) Lewellin of Waterloo, Gary (Roxanne) Weihert of Columbus, Cynthia (Norbert) Zander of Iowa/Florida, Eugene (Patricia) Weihert of Waterloo, Steven (Susan) Weihert of Fall River, Darlene (James) Cook of Reeseville, Marlene (John) Eggert of Waterloo, Susan Zimmermann of Waterloo, and Daniel (Barbara) Weihert of Waterloo; grandchildren, Jay Schaalma (Fiancée, Cierra Kurtzweil) and Erin Schaalma, Carrie and Trevor Yerges, Bryce Aubart, Jasmine, Amber and Rylan Kohls; great grandchild, Ayden Amend; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, David; sister, Mary Vance; son-in-law, Jason Rogers; and other loved ones.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all her caretakers with Rainbow Hospice.
